Christmas brings back a lot of childhood memories. One of my vivid fond childhood memories is when my sister and I had a tiny christmas tree at home. We decorated it with lot of toffees because we couldn’t afford anything else. We also did not have any gift exchanges. In the end, the inexpensive Toffees served both as tree decorating accessories and the gifts. And our dear mother narrated many wonderful stories to us. That still continues to be one of my finest childhood memories! Those were the best days of my life.
Even though, I grew up in India in a lower middle class Hindu family, neither my faith nor my parents stopped me from celebrating the birth of the Christ, or for that matter, believing in Santa. You really don’t have to be a christian to celebrate Christmas. It is all about families, friends, joy, togetherness, love and then comes more Love. I had an amazing Christmas with my wonderful extended family. We exchanged gifts, more than that it was pure love and affection that was showered on us. I am thankful to god for having such wonderful people around. May the lord shower each one of you with eternal happiness, health, wealth and wisdom.
Enjoy rest of your Holidays, folks!
